Join CEDO at the Tucson Festival of Books, March 13-14th
CEDO will have a table and booth at this year's festival. Presentations from CEDO-related authors will occur over the two-day event. 30th anniversary merchandise and, of course, books will be on sale. More information can be found here.

Save the Date: 30th Anniversary Celebration at Hotel Congress in Tucson, May 1st
Join CEDO to celebrate our anniversary at Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. Live music, sustainable seafood, kid's activities - including hands-on fun with marine tidepool creatures and desert critters, and educational booths on CEDO's programs, will all be a part of the festivities. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with all of our friends, colleagues and supporters. Click here for more information.

CEDO's 2010 Environmental Contest Underway
This year's environmental contest, entitled "Facing Climate Change" and just underway, will focus on the conservation of wetlands as natural mitigators of global warming. CEDO started these contests 16 years ago with a goal of making the youth of Puerto Peñasco actively work on finding alternative solutions to environmental problems and to transmit a conservation message to the community.

Teams will conduct a project that will face one of the direct threats to the Northern Gulf of California's estuaries as well as undertake a campaign to motivate the community to take actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The teams started work on March 2nd and will continue their work until April 30th. On June 4th CEDO will hold the awards ceremony for the contest in honor of World Environment Day. We wish the best of luck to all the participating teams.
