CEDO E-Newsletter: January 2011 - CEDO Begins the New Year
For 30 years, CEDO has partnered with scientific researchers of the public and private sectors of Mexico and the US, with local fishermen and community members, and with visitors and tourists in order to learn about the Northern Gulf of California -- and to learn how to create healthy, sustainable uses for all stakeholders in the region. want your feedback! MIA Contract Signed More than 860 fishers of the
Northern Gulf have asked CEDO to help them develop environmental impact studies
(MIA's) that will describe the impact of their fishing activities and the steps
they will tak CEDO Welcomes New Staff A number of long-time staff members
have moved on to other places and other jobs, but we are blessed to welcome
several highly-qualified and enthusiastic new members of the CEDO staff. 30th Anniversary Celebrations! Three
decades of investigation, education and conservation were celebrated in both
Tucson (May 1, 2010) and in Puerto Peñasco (October 9 & 30; and November
13, 2010). Hundreds of supporters came to these events, with dozens of
