Support CEDO's Mission
The mission of CEDO is to advance and share knowledge about the Northern Gulf of California and surrounding Sonoran Desert, and to promote conservation and sustainable use of its natural and cultural resources. You can contribute to our mission and support our conservation, research and education programs. Help us continue this important work.

Save the Vaquita Fund
The Vaquita is the most endangered marine mammal on Earth, with less than 150 remaining. Local communities in the Northern Gulf of California are making a transition to more sustainable livelihoods that protect vaquita. They need our help to continue doing so. We need to assist fishermen willing to change their traditional fishing methods to ensure the vaquita does not become extinct.

CEDO Property Rights Fund
We urgently need your support to help secure CEDO’s property rights by the Sea of Cortez, but we have acquired the full title to our field station and public education center in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora. CEDO must raise $80,000 by the end of the year to settle our land dispute.

Peñasco Estero Conservation Fund
As development booms on the Puerto Peñasco coastline, we are committed to protecting critical wetland habitats and finding solutions that work for people and the environment. A contribution to this fund will help ensure healthy fisheries, bird populations and the well-being of local communities.

The Ghost Net Project
The Northern Gulf of California was once one of the richest marine ecosystems on earth. Today these resources from sharks and shrimp to grouper and snails are in decline. A contribution to this fund will help us with our goal of advancing local participation in sustainable fishing practices and in developing an integrated management framework of small-scale fisheries, including the commercial divers Sociedad Cooperativa Buzos de Puerto Punta Peñasco. Support Education: the Arizona High School Tax Credit Program
This program is a great way to bring students to CEDO, which enables them to learn about marine biology and participate in valuable intercultural experiences, and contributes to their education. Click on the eligible schools below to travel to their website and make a donation today. For more information on the tax credit program visit here: www.azdor.gov.
