Intercultural ActivitiesCEDO can arrange intercultural exchanges with local schools and civic groups of all ages. Give students the opportunity to learn about the Mexican culture by experiencing it firsthand. Resident CEDO students can spend a half-day visiting a local school, learning alongside their Mexican compañeros. We tailor this activity to each individual group (and age level). Activities may include attending a class participating in an organized sporting event or making chiles rellenos. Research ParticipationCEDO is carrying out a number of research projects in which you can participate and contribute to our understanding of this bioregion: Marine Mammal Beach Census: A 20 year study of the mortality and diversity of marine mammals in the Northern Gulf of California Bird Survey: A survey of the bird diversity and abundance in the estuary to contribute to our database of resident and migratory species Sea Lion Survey: Groups visiting San Jorge Island can help count one of the largest sea lion populations of the Gulf of California. Survey of Island Visitors: It is important to understand how we humans impact these fragile ecosystems. Help us document human use of the waters around San Jorge island And More!
