Student and tourist groups of all ages are welcomed to participate in an outdoor adventure with us, stay at our field station and learn from our knowledgeable staff through slide presentations, tours and talks. Explore the tidepools, enjoy a bird or kayak tour in Estero Morúa, or stop by for one of our free public talks about the sea and the desert. Our gardens and fin whale exhibit make any visit fun and educational. We encourage groups of six or more to contact us for a special tour or activity.  

*** Our field station and main office (Edificio Agustín Cortés) is open Monday to Saturday, 9am - 5pm. Our Eco Gift Shop and Earthship Visitor's Center is open the same hours, along with 10am - 2pm on Sundays.

Eco-Adventures
CEDO offers unique opportunities to explore the sea and the desert. Join us for a hike in North America’s largest sand sea, a paddle through the channels of Estero Morúa, or an exploration of the diverse underwater world of tidepools.

Wet Feet Ocean Camp
Our annual summer camp is perfect for the young marine biologist, or any child who is interested in the ocean and the Gulf of California. The overnight camp is for youth ages 10 -13. For five days and four nights children will explore the Northern Gulf of California intertidal zone and surrounding Sonoran Desert. Accommodation will be provided at the CEDO field station in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico. Don't let your child miss out.
