CEDO is located in Las Conchas, a residential
neighborhood in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico, approximately 220
miles southwest of Tucson.
Take Ajo Way (Highway 86) west to Why, approximately 120 miles, turn south
on Highway 85 to the border at Lukeville/Sonoyta, approximately 27 miles.
Take Mex. Highway 8 south to Puerto Peñasco, about 65 miles.
In Peñasco:
Continue on the highway until you cross the railroad tracks.
Take a left at next street light (Freemont Blvd.) This road goes left
(east) and takes you out of town and into the desert.
About a mile and a half in here will be signs for Las Conchas and CEDO
on the right-hand side. Bear right, off the paved road and onto the dirt
road leading to Las Conchas.
Just past the CETMAR school complex is the Las Conchas guard house entrance,
just say CEDO and they'll let you through.
CEDO is about a mile past the guard house, you'll see the whale skeleton,
parking lot and CEDO signs to your right. Park and follow the walkway
to the main building and you're there!
